Bah, Humbug. Beach Chamber Cancels Surfing Santa Parade

The Beach's holiday parade - the Surfing Santa Beach Parade, originally scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. on Via de Luna, has been canceled due to the current event code restrictions currently in place by the Santa Rosa Island Authority regarding Covid-19.

“We are disappointed to cancel another annual event on the island, but the safety of the public remains our top concern,” Patty Spradling, Executive Director of the Beach Chamber. “We look forward to hosting this established event again next year and hope that you’ll make plans to join us.”

As of today, the Beach Chamber's Lighted Boat Parade is tentatively set for Decembe 5, and the New Year's Eve Fireworks Show, December 31.
