Chamber Announces Leadership Transition, Simpson to Succeed Peltier

The Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce is announcing a significant leadership transition as Meg Peltier, the Chamber’s President and CEO, steps down from her role. Peltier’s departure marks the end of a remarkable tenure, during which she has been instrumental in driving the Chamber’s success and growth.

Peltier has served as President/CEO of the Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce for three years during which time she has been a steadfast advocate for the local business community and a champion for Pensacola Beach as a premier destination. Under her leadership, the Chamber has seen substantial growth in membership, forged strategic partnerships, and successfully navigated challenges, including the economic impacts of the pandemic. Her dedication, vision, and commitment to the community have left an indelible mark.

"The Board of Directors and the entire Pensacola Beach Chamber membership express their deep gratitude to Meg for her tireless service and unwavering commitment," said Rhea Kessler, chairman of the Board. "Her leadership has positioned the Chamber for continued success, and she leaves behind a strong legacy that will be felt for years to come."

"As we bid farewell to Meg, we are excited to announce that Jessica Simpson, the current Vice President of Membership Services, will be stepping into the role of President/CEO," Kessler furthered.

Simpson has been with the Chamber for two years and has played a crucial role in membership growth and community engagement. Her deep understanding of the Chamber’s mission and her passion for supporting local businesses make her the ideal leader to continue the Chamber’s work and build on Peltier's achievements.

“I am honored to take on this new role and continue the incredible work that Meg has led,” said Jessica Simpson. “I look forward to working closely with our members, partners, and the community to further our mission of supporting local businesses and promoting the unique charm of Pensacola Beach.”

Peltier expressed her confidence in Simpson’s ability to lead the Chamber, stating, “Jessica has been an invaluable member of our team, and I am thrilled to see her step into this role. I know she will bring fresh ideas and energy to the Chamber, and I look forward to seeing the Pensacola Beach Chamber continue to thrive under her leadership.”

The transition will be effective on October 1, 2024. The Chamber will host a farewell event for Peltier on Thursday, October 17, at 5 p.m. at Bamboo Willie’s on the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. Members and community partners are invited to join in honoring Peltier and her dedication and commitment to the Pensacola Beach community.
