Little Theatre Presents The Flick

Small Talk, Big Feels: The Flick Sweeps Into PLT This August

Pensacola Little Theatre (PLT) is proud to present The Flick, Annie Baker’s Pulitzer Prize–winning play, as the opening act of its Studio 400 series. The production runs August 29 through September 7, 2025, at the Clark Family Cultural Center, located at 400 South Jefferson Street in downtown Pensacola.

Set in a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts, The Flick follows the lives of three underpaid ushers as they sweep up popcorn, argue about film, and quietly search for connection. Subtle, humorous, and deeply human, the play shines a light on the ordinary moments that shape us. Known for its realism and emotional depth, The Flick is a masterclass in contemporary playwriting—and a standout offering in PLT’s 2025–2026 season.

As part of PLT’s Studio 400 series, this production caters to mature audiences and leans into the kind of intimate, thought-provoking storytelling the theatre is known for. Studio 400 productions are staged in PLT’s black box-style setting, offering audiences an up-close and personal theatrical experience unlike anything else in the region.

Since 1936, Pensacola Little Theatre has served as a cultural cornerstone of the Gulf Coast, producing community-powered theatre in the heart of downtown Pensacola. Housed in the historic Pensacola Cultural Center, the theatre continues to push creative boundaries while honoring its legacy of storytelling, education, and outreach.

Tickets for The Flick are available now at pensacolalittletheatre.com, by phone at (850) 432-2042, or in person at the box office. For flexible access to a full season of performances, subscription packages are also available.

Experience a story that’s as real as the person sitting next to you. Catch The Flick this August at Pensacola Little Theatre.
