Pensacola Chapter of National Women’s March Organizes for Rally and March
PENSACOLA, FLA. December 2, 2024. Let your voices be heard. A march in downtown Pensacola is planned for January 18th, 2025. The theme is Truth to Power, and organizers invite all women as well as men to attend.
The Pensacola chapter of Women’s March is teaming up with numerous other organizations to plan this event. They have hosted this event in the past with 100s of attendees. The first rally and march was in January 2017, after the outcome of the 2016 election.
The Women’s March planning committee will address topics that may not be heard in the future, such as LGTBQ issues, women’s issues, climate change, immigration, and reproductive rights. We hope to empower, educate, and inspire hope.
"This Women's March is a starting point of the next four years, a call to fight back to destroy the capitalist, patriarchal system that keeps so many people tied down. We have nothing to lose but our chains,” states Devin Cole with Strive Pensacola and part of the Women’s March Pensacola organizing team.
This march will coincide with the National Women’s March in Washington, DC, and other cities throughout the US. We will start the event at 10 a.m. downtown and march to another park location. The event will include a march, speakers, poets, and musicians until 2 p.m.
